The Crock-pot Returns and Some Other Stuff

The All-Clad Deluxe Slow Cooker - I am happy to report that it was returned this morning in it's original condition and is on the pantry shelf, in the special spot.  I had a dream last night that it was returned scratched, with baked-on clam chowder.  Thank goodness it was only a dream.  The slow cooker is clean, shiny and has been well cared for.  Crisis averted.

Skiing/Boarding - Oldest Boy and Middle Boy had their final snowboard lesson on Saturday.  It was a beautiful day.  The sky was blue, the temperatures were pleasant and the snow was good.  The boys had a great time and I skied with several nice people and did not have a repeat of this day.  My Greek Moonshine supplier made good on his promise last week, so I was able to come home to a nip from the "NOT Water!" bottle.

Greek Moonshine - NOT Water!

Toddler Child - Sad to be left at home... again.
Toddler Child
- We haven't taken him to the mountains to ski or snowboard yet.  He's still in diapers [please don't judge] and we're not convinced that the money [which doesn't grow on trees at our house] and the stress involved are worth it.  He feels sad when he sees the "big boys" leave - regardless of the reason - and is thrilled when they return.

Toddler Child has an ear fetish.  He loves to touch ears.  He needs to touch ears.  Oldest Boy gets the award for offering his ear to Toddler Child the most.  Middle Boy finds it irritating and will do it occasionally if he can't take the persistent begging.  When we got home from the mountain on Saturday, Toddler Child was thrilled to see his brothers and have Oldest Boy's ear.

The Oscars - I didn't know they started at 6:30!  I know he's not popular with many people for many different reasons.  But, I dig Sean Penn.  I can't tell you precisely why.  He blows my skirt up in an unconventional way, kind of like Steve Martin, David Letterman, Owen Wilson, Liam Neeson and Daniel Craig.  Oh... Daniel Craig blows all of our skirts and kilts up in a conventional way.

The end.

So glad that your All Clad is back where it belongs.

I have been thinking about you all morning....have your ears been burning? Is that how that goes?

Cale is an ear fondler as well...he used to do it in preschool to other kids sitting on the rug. I guess I'm glad he fondles ears rather than other parts (at least not other peoples' other parts).

I have heard the rumours that Sean Penn is a bit of jerk - but I am with you, the man is sexy.

Thank goodness for an unblemished crock pot!

Mmmmmm... Daniel Craig. I posted about him today, too. I love the shot of Toddler grabbing his ear. Too cute.

I'm so glad that the crock pot is home safely... I too pictured baked on whatever... yuck! I LOVE the pics, especially the ear fondling... how cute is that?

I was an ear fondler. Now my girl just loves to cuddle, too much. She also isn't potty trained yet. One day...

Daniel Craig.... so delicious. He made a great Bond, I thought. So cool, so sexy, mmm..... But anyway, glad the all clad is back and sparkling! Oh and it's a boy! Found out today!

See, Kate Winslet has always done it for me, in a very conventional way as well . . .

She's the total package . . .

I love Sean Penn too.

Laura loves having her ears touched.

I'm so glad your crock pot is home safe!

You should teach toddler child to massage his brothers' ears, it's very relaxing. There are a lot of nerve endings in the ears and when massaged feels really good and totally relaxing.Or maybe, you should teach him to massage your ears since you're the one who needs relaxing more than they do.

I'm not wild about having my ears touched. So I'm glad that none of my kids have that particular quirk. Although they will all stick a finger on your belly button if the opportunity presents itself - which is just as bad.

I love Liam Neeson. Rob Roy absolutely blows up my skirt (kilt).

Connie - I think my ears are supposed to burn if you've been TALKING about me. I don't know what happens when you're thinking of someone...

Corbie - Ear fondler. I like that. You're right - it could be worse!

Deidre - I've heard the same things. That's why I can't explain it, and it's my UNconventional crush. We can't help who we're attracted to, now, can we?

Sassy - Who doesN'T love Daniel Craig?

Pam - I was sweating it. I'm so relieved.

Jennifer - Aww. You're nice. You make me feel better. Thank you.

Mrs. D. - Congratulations! Another boy child. Hooray!

Tysdaddy - I think Kate Winslet is conventionally beautiful too. She's just classic. I LOVED it when her father whistled. That was great!

Cheri - Thank YOU for saying that you love Sean Penn too. So, Laura's a touchee, not a toucher? Toddler Child like to touch other people's ears. Occasionally he touches his own, but he prefers ears that aren't his.

(BTW, the boys and I LOVED the movie. I need to write you and Laura. It was wonderful! Thank you so much again.)

Bobbie - I like the idea of Toddler Child massaging my ears. That sounds nice.

Kate Coveny Hood - I just get tired of being touched in general - by all the fellas in this house. Sometimes I need a little personal space, or I get a little apeshit.

Phew - the hotpot came back unscathed!

And that last picture is just too sweet! Now I know what Shakespeare was going on about when he declared: Lend me your ears!

You are so funny! Love the part about blowing up your skirt. And thank goodness that crockpot is back and looking good. I was fearful I would hear about you on the evening news if it was returned scratched:)

You are so lucky to live close to snow, Kelly sooo wants to be in some real snow.

Ear fetish, eh? How cute. Ears are kind of fun in a wiggly way.

Totally missed the Oscars, which I usually watch EVERY year,in its entirety. Oh well, life goes on. And hopefully they will be on YouTube.

Laura is a toucher and a touchee! I'm sure she would love having Toddler Child rub her ears.

We are glad you liked the movie. Her name, being the new girl, the male teacher, Valentine's Day, the whole package. We knew it was made just for you. Except for the llama. We weren't sure about that part. But everything else.

And, yes, I do think Sean Penn is brilliant and passionate.

Gosh, it's taking some time catching up with my favourite blogging sites, but I'm getting there. Mum & me laughed at your posts about your new pride & joy - your slow cooker, and about Toddler Child. It's made mum want a slow cooker (but not a Toddler). Mum used to have a basic one when she was young and used it every day. She'd forgotten how versatile they are and it's 'up mum's street' as far as cooking goes. She's got all excited so I think she'll be out to buy one tomorrow now that you've set her off. But perhaps not the 'Porsche' standard one because it's only her and Uncle Hugh. I'll keep you posted:)PS: Mum says that Sean Penn is one of her favourite actors.

Recent blog post: I'M BACK!
Sean Penn doesn't do it for me, but I kind of understand it. The intelligent, don't-mess-with-me, artistic guy.

So very glad your beloved Ark of Culinary Goodness has made it home unscathed - I still can't believe you loaned it out.

I would never judge you for having a child in diapers - my youngest was a particularly resistant little tyke in that area as well. I figured he'd be toilet trained by 15, right? So far, at 9, we're getting close!

I'm touching your ear right now, in my mind, btw!

Also, I think I might need some of that "Not Water". Would Everclear be a good substitute?

My daughter is obsessed with eyes and eyebrows. When she was wee, she couldn't sleep (I was a cosleeper) without touching my face, or Gramma's. Sometimes, I hate to admit, it would annoy me depending on how totally and completely mentally exhausted I was. She woke up at 3.45 this morning and refused to go back to bed. So she slept with me. It was truly painful; non-stop kicking, fingers in my eyes and mouth. I loved every minute of it.

Am I weird to be reading your old posts? I love them! I have a $30 crock pot from Target and just broke it in last week. If I become an expert at it, I might add yours to my wish list! I did email my husband with the recipe book you linked to - you had mentioned it somewhere else recently too!

Our daughter loves toes and feet. She's always touching her own, and ours. So cute.

And I LOVE that NOT water bottle. YUM!
